read Daniel 4-
We use the NASB (New American Standard Bible), but please feel free to read the translation that fits you best. The real important thing is to build a relationship with the Word of God.

You will see in this chapter:
The mighty Nebuchadnezzar was filled with pride and God brought him back to earth. Sometime our pride also puts us higher than we’re suppose to be. After pride destruction comes.
The Afrikaans speaking would know what I mean when I say - ‘As jy nie wil luister nie moet jy voel‘. The king was warned by Daniel a whole year before his destruction with no avail. He still proceeded to think more about himself than ever before.
Your addictions will cause you many afflictions:
Many people have become addicts not of a narcotic but of themselves. They feel attracted to themselves and to the idea of control when people follow them on Social Media platforms. When you post something you want to know why you only received 10 likes on your post. You would rather delete the post than to be humiliated by only a few likes. Others will become addicted to anger... they love to feel the adrenaline rush. People actually become addicted to the feeling and not the actual anger. The feeling created by the body chemistry when we find ourselves in a fight or flight situation. Thé hormones secretes pushing ephedrine into the bloodstream is highly addictive. It probably also causes your face to become read when you’re angry lol.
We’re all made in the image of God , but when we leave God out of our lives and resist His will, they can descend to the level of animals.

Speak truthful in and out season. Even when it hurts.
just imagine the strong word Daniel had to reveal to the king and how he must’ve felt to be the carrier of bad news. He probably must’ve asked the Lord for grace. Daniel 4:19 says - “My lord, if only the dream applied to those who hate you and its interpretation to your adversaries!”
Daniel was a bold Stewart of truth and didn’t bend the truth to preach a ‘seeker sensitive’ message. He gave it as it was suppose to be given. He didn’t divorce truth from responsibility.
Learn to raise a praise in the midst of your testing:
TESTS will always be part of our lives. In and out of classroom we will be tested. The easiest test is probably in classroom but the most fearsome ones are the ones out there in practice.
As the king when we’re down in the dumps we should realize the glory and majesty of God and look up towards the heavens recognising God’s supremacy to know all and be all for all. He will help you from whatever trouble you’re in right now. It took Nebuchadnezzar 7 years to realize his error and pride. How long will it take you. Daniel 4:34 - ““But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.”
Look up your help is from the Lord.
The discipline of the Lord is absolute:
The Lord disciplines those who He loves. After warning God will always give you a fair chance to change. From childhood we have been disciplined by our parents. That sets the rhythm for our future discipline. We shouldn’t be scared to be disciplined. A father always disciplines those whom he loves. Rather cry with them now than crying over them when they’re all grown up.
Pride is one of the sins God hates!
“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.”
Proverbs 16:18 NASB1995
When you See pride you may know it’s being followed by destruction.
Do 3 Things to be delivered:
SUBMIT to the Lord.
Praise the Lord no matter what.
Acknowledge the Lord’s sovereignty And your responsibility.
Theń if you’re not delivered it’s all on you.
Take care.
