God is Good

“O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭34:8‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Can you feel His goodness in your life? The goodness of God can be measured against more than just one thing. Some people measure the favor and Goodness of God against money and material things, but I want to remind you we may enjoy the goodness of God on many more levels of our lives than just money and material things.

God’s goodness may be measured against many things we will discuss in a bit, but you need to let go of what is holding you back and freefall into the loving embrace of our Good God. The goodness of God never stops at a certain point in your life as you move from one season to the next. Every season, you will realize there's a plan and a genuine reason for the season. A place where God may want you alone to build and restore you.

When a seed is planted, it's planted in the darkest of circumstances inside the soil, and the seed is left for an undisclosed time. The seed is watered (re-hydrate), starting the germination process. This process depends on the seed. The sprouting process is challenging but worthy. I do not know where you are in your process, but all I know is that our good good Father have you covered.

The goodness of God is not only an attribute of God but a foundational truth every Christian should embrace. Consider some of the reasons God’s goodness is essential to us:

(1) The “goodness” of God is prominent in the opening chapters of the Bible.

(2) The goodness of God appears to be the sum total of all of God’s attributes.

(3) We cannot separate what is good from God. (Psalms 16:2)

(4) Man’s eternal destiny is determined by his decision as to how one can truly be good in God’s sight. (John 5:28-29; Romans 3: 1-26; Titus 3: 3-7)

(5) Apart from the divine revelation of the Scriptures, we cannot recognize true goodness, for it cannot be understood apart from knowing God and seeing life from His perspective. (Taken from Bible.org) Good is defined in Psalm 73.

God remains good even when my circumstances don't attest to that fact. My circumstances aren't detrimental to the goodness of God. God is All-knowing and Supreme, and His glory and goodness aren't a public showcase but a glorious 'seedcase.' We rely on God because we know our dependence on Him means His undeserving grace and favor. Do not make room for the devil to contaminate that which God has made good. Eve and Adam were tempted because they engaged in a dialogue with the serpent. They weren't supposed to make room for such discussions because the devil undermined the goodness of God and planted that thought in the mind of Eve. Since then, nothing has changed, and the devil to this day undermines the goodness of God by also using little truths like 'aren't you supposed to be cared for, and we should do the same as Jesus did when He was tempted, answering the devil from the Word of God (Matthew4).

If you can measure the unmeasurable, it's not unmeasurable at all. God's goodness is like nothing in this world and cannot be measured by tools created by a worldly system. The systems in place cannot fathom God's complete wisdom and goodness. It's just not possible! You're a chosen vessel to His glory. It's time you see it!
